Charastar is a free collection of character illustration assets available for personal and educational use. (Licensing fees apply for commercial use, except for posts on commercial SNS accounts.)

Q. What image format is available for downloads?

The images are primarily provided in PNG format with transparent backgrounds.

Q. Why do the sample images have a "©DESIGNALIKIE" watermark?

The "©DESIGNALIKIE" watermark is used on sample images to prevent unauthorized copying. It is not included in the downloadable or purchased files.

Q. Are larger sizes available for a fee?

Yes, larger sizes are available for a fee. Please contact us via the inquiry form.

Currently, sales of larger-sized paid illustrations are temporarily suspended.

About Free Character Assets for Personal and Educational Use

Q. What facilities are considered educational institutions?: This includes kindergartens, daycares, child care facilities, elementary, middle, and high schools, universities, parks, libraries, public cultural facilities, and sports facilities. If in doubt, please contact us.
Q. How can I use these images?: For personal and educational use, feel free to use these images as illustration assets on websites, YouTube videos, and social media posts (e.g., Twitter, Facebook). However, reselling the free image assets as a collection is prohibited.
Q. Is there a limit to how many times I can use them?: They are royalty-free with no restrictions on usage, frequency, or duration.
Q. Can I edit the images?: You are free to edit the images as needed.
Q. Who holds the copyright for the illustrations?: The copyright for the illustrations is owned by DESIGNALIKIE, the company behind Clip Art Mono. We grant you usage rights.
Q. Do I need to include a "©DESIGNALIKIE" notice when using the images?: It is appreciated if you include a note, but it is not mandatory. Regardless, the copyright remains with DESIGNALIKIE.
Q. Can I resell the images?: No, reselling is prohibited.
Q. Can I use them for paid products or merchandise?: No, using them for paid products or merchandise is prohibited, except for hobby-level items.
Q. Can I use them for LINE stickers?: No, using them for LINE stickers is prohibited.

About Licensing for Commercial Use

Q. What about posts from commercial SNS accounts?: Posts from commercial SNS accounts can be used for free. Feel free to use them widely on social media.
Q. For what commercial uses is a licensing fee required?: A licensing fee is required for items such as flyers, promotional materials, TV commercials, and YouTube ads. Please contact us for details.
Q. How do I purchase a license?: Please reach out via our contact form.
Q. What are the payment methods?: You can choose between bank transfer and PayPal.
Q. What about bank transfer fees?: Bank transfer fees are borne by the customer, while PayPal fees are covered by us.
Q. When should I make the payment?: After placing an order, you will receive an email detailing the order, payment instructions, and bank information. Please make the payment by the specified deadline.
Q. How do I receive the asset data?: Once your payment is confirmed, we will send you a download URL or, if there are only a few files, an email with the data.
Q. Will I receive a receipt?: Since payments are made via bank transfer or PayPal, we generally do not issue receipts. Your bank transfer proof will suffice.
Q. What is PayPal?: PayPal is the world's most widely used online payment service. Registration is free, and there are no fees for the payer; fees are covered by the recipient. You can also pay by credit card via PayPal. Please register for a PayPal account in advance.
